Today was a sad day :(
My poor baby got locked in the car this morning. It was all I could do not to panic. Along with her in the car was also my car keys, and my purse. We have OnStar, so I called my husband to call them and we conferenced with them but they were unable to get the car unlocked because the car was in the garage and there was too much interference for the signal to get through.
by this time she was crying pretty hard, and I needed to call Zach's preschool to let them know we'd be late. I was holding in my panic, still doing OK. It wasn't too hot out, so Raeleigh was OK.
The OnStar person called 911 and they sent a dispatch out, and John decided to come home and help as well. He really was the biggest help, he had another key. John beat the dispatch by about 3 min. and saved the day. We heard the sirens as they were getting near, John didn't think it was for us but once they are called they have to follow through. Thankfully it wasn't a hot day, and she was OK.
Now I make sure at least one door is open as I get the kids in and out of the car, so it doesn't happen again.

o man. poor y'all! :( glad everything ended well. ♥
That is always so scary...I locked Emie in the car whilest dropping Parker off at school yep the car was running and Emie was buckled in and only 1...The principal had to drive me home where my sister was to get the extra set of keys. One of my stupider parent moments!
I'm so glad she was alright! Scary. SO do you make wedding cakes for people other than friends? A girl in my ward is getting married and was asking around about cake makers so I thought of you. If not, no big deal, but I do think you should...and charge more. YOU'RE GOOD!
yikes...we've done that a couple of times...once in the WalMart parking lot but luckily both times we had an older kiddo in the car that we talked through to open the door for us. So have you movedinto your new place? It looks beautiful!
if she was a better listener she could have gotten herself out. kids are so silly.
poor baby. marc you're a dork. :)
There's nothing like that feeling of panic and helplessness. I'm glad everything turned out OK though. Give her a squeeze for me.
So glad it all worked out! That could really happen to any mom.
